Natalie Posdaljian

Postdoctoral Scholar

Natalie Posdaljian is a postdoctoral scholar with the Marine Bioacoustics Research Collaborative. She completed her PhD in Oceanography at UC San Diego’s Scripps Institution of Oceanography, where her research focused on sperm whale ecology in the northern hemisphere. Using passive acoustic monitoring, she explored their spatiotemporal distribution, population demographics, density, and habitat preferences. As a postdoc, she is interested in we can use acoustics to predict marine species' responses to climate change and how these insights can be integrated into policy and conservation strategies..
