Natalie Posdaljian is a graduate student in the Scripps Whale Acoustics and Scripps Acoustic Ecology labs. She earned her B.S. in Environmental Systems - Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution from the University of California, San Diego in 2014. She spent two years working as a North Pacific Groundfish observer in Alaska before coming to the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. She is interested in how we can use passive acoustic monitoring to explore the spatiotemporal distribution and population demographics of sperm whales in the Northern Hemisphere.
When she finds the time, Natalie is in the kitchen developing and testing a new recipe or taking her bicycle out for a spin.
